Angie Dye joins her brother, Jermaine Dye, as a member of the Will C. Wood High School Hall of Fame, further cementing the family’s legacy in Wildcat athletics.
A 1995 graduate, Dye was a four-year varsity standout in both basketball and softball and was named Wood’s Outstanding Female Athlete. On the basketball court, she averaged 19 points and 16 rebounds per game as a dominant center. As a senior, she earned Monticello Empire League MVP honors, competed in the high school All-Star Game, and was named MVP of that contest.
In softball, Dye excelled as an outfielder, earning All-MEL recognition. She continued her basketball career at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, where she was a four-year starter. Dye averaged 12 points and 11 rebounds per game during her collegiate career, earned All-Western Athletic Conference honors three times, and ranks seventh all-time in rebounding at UNLV.
